FIKAMBANAN’NY MPANOMPOVAVIN L JESOA KRISTY  FMJK

(Society of the Servants of Jesus Christ)

The FMJK sisters were founded by Canon Hall Speers in 1985.  They live in the village of Tsinjohasina, on the high plateaux above the rice fields, situated some fifteen kilometres from Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar.  The sisters work in the village dispensary and are active in visiting, Christian teaching and pastoral work in the villages around.  They are an independent community but have been nurtured by a connection with the Community of St Mary the Virgin, Wantage, in the UK.
